Ham and Cheese with Honey Mustard

This sandwich was made with leftover ham, Swiss Cheese, honey, and plain yellow mustard. It is a more mature version of the kind of ham and cheese sandwich I used to get in a school lunch.

Mmmm.... Great way to use leftover ham.

The Red, White, and Green

The first official Joshua sandwich blends a childhood favorite 'avocado melt' with the flavors of onion, red pepper, and eggplant. Made with whole wheat toast, the avocado melt is made by spreading mashed and salted avocado onto a piece of bread or toast, placing sliced cheese on top, and then toasting it (in a toaster or conventional oven) until the cheese is melted.

The other half of the sandwich is toast spread with 'Red Pepper Spread with Eggplant and Garlic' from Trader Joe's with sautéed onions piled on top.

Put the 2 together and you've got yourself a Red, White and Green

Sandwich Layers:
Slice of Toast
Mashed and salted avocado
Cheese (I used Swiss)
Onions
Red Pepper Spread
Slice of Toast

Pros:
Nice warm sandwich with deliciously blending bold flavors. Had a bit of a creamy texture from the spread and avocado.

Cons:
Onion and garlic breath

Overall:
Very good sandwich. I suggest using Swiss or a stronger cheese, or the flavor of the cheese will be swallowed up in the other flavors.
